Today saw another beautifully sunny day at Stubbington. The children woke early (!), ready for the day ahead, and after a delicious breakfast they were straight into their first activity. One group collected the mammal hotels that they put out yesterday evening and were delighted to find that they had caught some voles and a mouse to study! The other group got stuck into some teamwork braving the Earthquake challenge – working together to get emergency equipment across a range of obstacles. This was a lot harder (and wetter!) than some expected! After a well-needed lunch, the first team got to experience Earthquake whilst the second team learned to take a bearing on a compass to then complete an orienteering activity! After some free time exploring the grounds and play equipment, the children had a yummy dinner and then solved a mystery involving some stolen treasure. The children became detectives and had to interview some pesky pirates to find out who was not telling the truth. We are looking forward to spotting some badgers tonight and eagerly await them in the badger hide.
