Being a Beach School makes the most of the outdoor classroom that surrounds our nation. Outdoor learning has been growing steadily in the UK since the nineties, when the first Forest Schools began to emerge. Outdoor learning is said to boost not only academic performance, but also children’s confidence, self-esteem, social skills and well being.

We are delighted to offer an outdoor curriculum. With Stokes Bay on our doorstep it seemed an ideal opportunity to make visits all year. Forest Schools Education created the first accredited Beach School training programme for teachers five years ago. Our  Beach School caters for all children across the school.

We work closely with the Diving Museum and Friends of Stokes Bay. Our children often complete litter picks with other volunteers on Saturdays.  Go Gomer!
