On Friday, Year 4 started their new science learning. They are focussing on the understanding of the 7 characteristics of a living thing (MRS NERG) and discussed which living things they would expect to find in their local environment. Looking after our local environment is really important to us, so we linked with the Woodland Trust to discuss ways of improving our local environment. The school was kindly donated 30 hedgerow saplings, including: hawthorn, crab apples, dog wood and dog rose. Every child in Year 4 had the opportunity to plant a sapling, getting stuck into the planting process. We look forward to watching these grow.
