Y3 have thoroughly enjoyed their history learning of the Egyptians. This term they have interested themselves in a variety of learning opportunities. Most recently, their descriptive writing saw them write ‘property particulars’ for Egyptian Tombs following their learning about Tutankhamun. The children understood their audience and used superb descriptive language to advertise their luxurious tombs. Some even added their Egyptian themed estate agency logo (home learning) to their advert. Last Thursday, to provide a real-life context for their ‘particulars’, Mr Paul Parker from Eckersley Estate Agency kindly gave time to visit the children and read their writing. He was very impressed – so much so he has thought about recruiting some of our youngest writes for the estate agency. Thank you Mr Parker and well done Y3. Go Gomer!
