The football teams were in action last week for the first time since the Christmas break.

On Wednesday the A and B teams took on Brockhurst. After a tight start to the A team game, Gomer eventually took the lead and then the goals began to flow. The final score in this game was 7-0 to Gomer.

The B team also had their scoring boots on. After a close first 10 minutes, they found their rhythm and ran out comfortable winners at 7-2.

On Friday, members of the A and B squads represented Gomer at the EFL 6-a-side tournament in Portsmouth. They were up against some very strong teams-often made up solely from academy players. Despite not reaching the knockout stages, the teams were commended by the organisers for their sporting play and their dogged resilience.
