This year the JRSO team are challenging pupils to WOW (Walk Once a Week).  In partnership with Living Streets, children (and staff) are challenged to walk, scoot, cycle or park and stride to school at least once a week every day of the year.  Ditching the car and getting out in the fresh air helps our brain to get working, lets us chat to our friends and adults and helps us to exercise. It also puts less pollution into the air.  We know it might be getting a little chilly so to help Living Streets have produced monthly badge for those who walk at least once a week. As further encouragement, we are also taking part in Walktober ‘Walking to Wellbeing’ this month (more details on the website).  Children and families are encouraged to take part in the NHS “Five Steps to Wellbeing.”  There are lots of fun activities and the chance to win some great prizes for yourself and the school.  https://www.livingstreets.org.uk/products-and-services/projects/wow
