Following on from the ‘new look’ Y6 ‘meet the teacher’ we have changed how these sessions work. We encourage all parents/carers to attend, even if you are established within the Gomer community, so that you can learning about how and what your child will be learning this year and how to further support your child.

Y5: Tuesday 10 September
Y3: Wednesday 11 September
Y4: Thursday 12 September
The plan for each session:
Arrival from 3.15pm parents/carers and their children to come to the hall via the outside door.
Refreshments on arrival
Parents/carers to help themselves to some food tasters from Dee, our HC3S Cook and a drink from the FROGJS table. Children staying with their parent/carer are to stay in the hall. Younger siblings are welcome but parents/carers will need to cater for them accordingly please.
From 3.30pm:
- You will:
- be introduced to your year group team
- learn about reading in Y3, Y4 or Y5: expectations and how parents/carers can help
- learn about maths in Y3, Y4 or Y5: expectations and how parents/carers can help
- hear about our intentions for the wider curriculum
- see the visits planned for the yeat ahead
- learn about our new approach to home learning
- have time to ask questions
- visit your child’s classroom
