Some Y6 pupils visited HMS Sultan today to see the Real Life Iron Man, CEO and Chief Test Pilot of Gravity Industries Ltd, through a practical flying demonstration.

‘Sixteen lucky Y6 pupils were invited to HMS Sultan to see the amazing engineer called Richard Browning. He demonstrated his awesome gravity defying Iron Man Suit by jumping from plane to plane. With a good understanding of STEM he was able to engineer his suit.’

Madison P went on to say,
‘The visit was very interesting; hearing about how the jet engines work and how the pilot controlled the suit. We found out how long it took to make the suit and how long it took the pilot to learn to fly in it. The pilot showed the crowd how he controlled the suit and it was exciting when he jumped onto the helicopter. STEM learning enabled him to engineer some good solutions.’
