Wow! The majority of Y4 and the School Choir participated in the 100th Portsmouth Music Festival. This festival was celebrated by the children singing through the decades and they did so with gusto and style – the audience were thoroughly entertained. The year group were ably supported by school choir members from across the school and were also joined be several other Gosport schools. Our Choir Master for the evening, Mr Anderton from Grange Infant School was brilliant and rehearsed the children superbly. He even arranged the whole of the Guildhall to sing Happy Birthday to Oliver. 🙂

The Portsmouth Music Festival runs for a week and is attended by hundreds of musicians, performing on different nights, to keen audiences. The children get to perform many songs as well has listen to the Royal Marines band and a whole host of other performances. It is quite an event! We look forward to Y4 participating next year (we include it into the children’s music curriculum) and the choir will be able to participate too. Go Gomer!
