Year 5 made their way to the new sports facilities at Bay House today. The children were warmly greeted by two Bay House  PE specialists who kindly gave their time to coach our children in Handball and how to compete – which our children did with great enthusiasm! We were delighted that Bay House commented on how smart Y5 looked in their PE kit. The children practised throwing and catching using handball throws and quickly moved onto defending. Practising shooting into the nets enabled them to challenge themselves using different sized nets. The mini-tournament involved three games and three teams. This allowed the children to showcase their great skills, good sportsmanship and behaviour – Go Gomer!

With thanks to our Sports Ambassador for organising the event and to Bay House for hosting and providing the coaches – this is very much appreciated. The Y5 Team are now all set to play at school.
