Gomer Junior started a period of consultation, to convert to an Academy, within the Gosport and Fareham Multi-Academy Trust (GFM) on 1 September 2016. This consultation will run to 29 September. This is an exciting opportunity for Gomer Junior to be a founder member of a local Trust, taking a lead in developing itself further and providing a platform to work closely with other local schools. Parents and carers of Gomer Junior will be provided with a hard copy of the information above on Tuesday 6 September, alongside our monthly newsletter. Parents and carers of Gomer Infant children will receive a letter from the Governors next week. Meetings to discuss the above have been scheduled for Wednesday 7 September in the afternoon and early evening. These are deliberately early on so that questions can be asked and feedback gathered during the consultation period. There is a further meeting scheduled for 28 September.  If you would like to meet with the governors but are unable to attend these meetings, please contact Paul Lane, our Chair of Governors, to organise an alternative date and time.
