Linking in with our focus on Shape and Measure, the children went outside to look at measurement in all different ways. Year 3 (pictured below) collected sticks and ordered them by length before measuring and comparing those measures. Year 4 looked at perimeter and year 5 built on this by working out the area as well. Finally, Year 6 took their information and produced scale drawings. In addition to this learning, children across the school completed Maths and English learning. And the sun shone for it all. With thanks to parents/carers who supported our Groundforce Day activities too – so helpful to have the grounds tended to at this time of year. We look forward to more outdoor learning and gardening soon.
