Year 5 have had a brilliant start to their Stubbington residential. The day started swiftly with one group going straight into the shelter building and one into fire making. We then had a quick snack before swapping over. There was some incredible teamwork to build the driest, most secure shelter before Mrs Thurston and Mrs Fry threw water on each one! The children were very patient waiting for lunch, and after refueling, they finally got to see their rooms. Some rooms are already looking tidier than others…! We enjoyed some time playing on the adventure playground and football pitches, before then joining with other schools to complete a house challenge. After dinner we have been enjoying some more free time, and have been getting along really well with each other. We are looking forward to an action-packed day tomorrow!
