A big WELL DONE to the school football team who played Elson Junior yesterday afternoon. The weather conditions were torrential yet everyone played amazingly proud of every one of you today. Elson Junior are a strong team and Gomer defended well in the first half. The breakthrough came from a clearance from Blake in goal to score the first to make it 1-0. The weather deteriorated in the second half but the team continued playing the ball and working hard for one another. Playing out from the back the team passed the ball around Elson’s midfield finding Thomas in a space – he controlled the ball brilliantly and found himself ‘one on one’ with the keeper but kept his cool to find the back of the net with a brilliant goal. The team went on to secure a well deserved 2-0 win.

Player of the match: Johnathan – he worked hard in the middle of the pitch making some vital tackles and playing some key passes.

Great team effort. Go Gomer!

With thanks to our family school Bay House for sharing their 3G pitch with us. It was so wet we didn’t get to taking a team photograph. Attached is the best we could do!
