We do hope you had a fabulous weekend. The sun is still shining and the children are thoroughly enjoying being outside. To help keep them safe in the sun, over the last week, classes have talked about the importance of ‘slip, slop, slap’ message. Sun safety experts recommend:

  • Slip on sun protective clothing that covers as much of your body as possible.
  • Slop on SPF 30 or higher broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen, at least 20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every two hours when outdoors or more often if perspiring or swimming. Children can bring their own into to school to reapply accordingly.
  • Slap on a broad-brimmed hat that shades your face, neck and ears. We do not mind what colour this – Gomer blue would be amazing.

Please help us to keep your child safe in the sun. Additionally, children are encouraged tp drink lots during the day and water bottles are left by the classroom door at break times for ease of access.
