Well done to Year 4 who raised £74.51 at their Christingle last term by collecting loose change. The Children’s Society have now confirmed that they received our pennies. Our Christingle was a lovely opportunity to gather the year group, during Advent. We would normally attend St. Mary’s Church for our Christingle but this year, for Bubble safety, used our school hall for the occasion. The celebration reminded children about the symbols of the Christingle and how this related to their own lives. We reflected also on how we can feel scared or lonely in the dark. Thinking about everything that makes us feel warm and fuzzy made us all feel warm – just like the light of the Christingle which each child made. Hopefully, we will be able to host our 2021 Christingle at St. Mary’s Church.
