A huge heart felt thank you to Mrs Martyn for hand-crafting EVERY pupil and adult, at Gomer Junior School, a beautiful angel. Mary shared her mother’s gift to the school yesterday and everyone loved the angels which were the same size but varied in colour; so there were plenty of colours to choose from! Mrs Mulhall naturally saved a few Gomer Blue angels for the Gomer Christmas tree but interestingly chose a different colour for her home tree! The teachers were delighted to see how much the children liked their angel and were delighted to have received one too. Mrs Martyn has been knitting for months in order to share this gift and dropped them to us a fortnight ago to ensure their safe storage. Angels are a symbol of devotion, hope, trust, faith and love. Thank you Martyn Family for the devotion and love you have shared with the Gomer Junior community through your crafting endeavours. May we all hold onto our angel and trust that we continue to operate as a cohesive community and have hope for a less challenging year ahead but knowing we can have faith in one another to support, love and care.
