On Friday, we will be having a Harvest Celebration in school in our Bubbles. Harvest is a time to give thanks. Harvest Festival is also a celebration of the food grown on the land. Thanksgiving ceremonies and celebrations for a successful harvest are both worldwide and very ancient. In Britain, people have given thanks for successful harvests since pagan times. We will be learning about harvest and talking about the Food Bank we will be supporting. If you have some packet, tinned or jarred food items you can spare, please send them in so we can provide a generous gift to the food bank. NO FRESH ITEMS – thank you.
