The School Council took great pride in decorating the Gomer Christmas tree for the St. Mary’s 2019 Christmas Tree festival. Children from across the school crafted environmentally friendly decorations. We were keen to upcycle some items we already had (see the Gomer G at the top of the tree  (we’re all stars at Gomer so this seemed very appropriate) and ensure that new purchases could be recycled. Non-recyclable items e.g. pipe cleaners, were already in our possession. The tree pendants, decorated by the children were made from reclaimed wood. Y3 enjoyed visiting the festival yesterday – with thanks to the church for making this possible. The school choir are looking forward to singing alongside other schools in the annual vocal festival. It has been an incredibly festive week at Gomer.
