As part of their commitment to giving local children an opportunity to try sailing, children in Y4 and Y5 at Gomer Junior have been invited by the St Mary’s Junior Sailing Club to a taster session. Four sessions have been arranged on the following days:
Thursday 30th May     2.00pm to 4.00pm (half term)
Thursday 13th June    4.00pm to 6.00pm
Tuesday 18th June      4.00pm to 6.00pm
Tuesday 25th June      4.00pm to 6.00pm
Thursday 27th June    4.00pm to 6.00pm
There is a nominal charge of £1.00 towards the cost of maintaining our equipment and you should include this with your Application Form (see below).
The club provide boats, buoyancy aids and helmets. Children should arrive in old clothes which will get muddy and wet: shorts, T-shirt, windproof top, old trainers or beach shoes are ideal. If you have a wet suit please feel free to attend in that.  Each child should also bring a complete change of clothing, a towel, a snack and a water bottle. One adult is required to remain with the child during the session.
The Club is in Clayhall Road. There is a metal pedestrian entrance gate just by the bus stop opposite the end of St Marks Road. A path leads along the creek to the club.
Please download the application form below and return the  form to the school office. We have some hard copies of the form in the office too. Places are limited and will be offered in order of date received. You will be contacted with the date of your session as soon as we are able.
