Creative, colourful, considered Gomer. Wow – the response to our termly ‘creative home learning’ task was brilliant. The children designed and dressed in a variety of ocean themed outfits for our ‘recyclable plastic’ fashion show. Alongside this, the children have learnt about the different types of plastic, how they can be recycled and the amount of time it will take for them to decompose. The children were very attentive during the hour long fashion show and for those who walked the cat-walk, they were very brave. A thank you to all the designers in the school and to the parents/carers who supported the event too. It was great to be joined by Fordingbridge who sponsored our event by donating £250 which will be given to ‘Friends of Stokes Bay’ and the ‘Final Straw‘ campaign. Their representative was very impressed with the children’s learning and her message built on the whole school assembly received the other day. We will be adding our collected coppers to the £250 and will share the grand total next week. We are doing our bit for out local, national and global community. Go Gomer!
