Gomer Junior have been proactive, due to recent press coverage, in organising workshops  to raise awareness and eliminate myths about knife crime. The whole of the upper school was engaged, on Monday 11 March worked alongside a local Police Officer and Community Support. Pupils recognised the importance of keeping yourself safe as well as what could be perceived as a weapon – depending on how it was used and how your actions could be portrayed by others. The classes were reassured that knife crime within our locality was minimal, with both officers of the law never having had to deal with any incident around this subject within the last 20 years. Taking responsibility for your own actions was the key message.
