You will be aware that there is an amber weather warning across parts of the South Coast for this evening and overnight and into tomorrow (Friday 1 February). At this stage we are anticipating that school will be open tomorrow, however, should a decision be made to close the school, then parents/carers will be notified as early as possible (around 7.00am) via text message, website and other school-related mediums e.g. Facebook.
Please ensure that we hold the most up to date mobile number for you. A decision to close the school is never one that is taken lightly but the safety of the pupils and staff is our number one priority at all times. School will only close if we feel that snow and ice have made the site unsafe or if we are unable to safely provide for the pupils because teaching staff are unable to get to school. Some of our teaching staff live a reasonable distance from the school and would be unable to walk to work.
We aim to keep the school open during inclement weather and will update you accordingly.
