Last night was very special because the first GFM Awards evening was hosted at Brune Park. We were delighted that our school choir joined the Rowner Junior School choir and sang at this special GFM event. They performed exceptionally well in addition to the secondary school performers.
It is an important value of our multi-academy trust that we we encourage and celebrate the aspiration to perform highly. Thus, those who received nominations last night were nominated because they have excelled. It was right and proper that their achievement was recognised and celebrated. The evening was full of pride where the young people were proud of themselves alongside their family and friends. The teachers were certainly delighted to have nominated the children and were so very proud. It was an emotional evening for parents/carers and the staff.
There were twenty one awards  presented. Each school within the GFM  nominated a child for most of the Awards. Our CE, Mr Ian Potter and the awarding panel were tasked with deciding upon the award winners. He enjoyed the task and learnt about our incredible population of young people that exist across our schools.
Congratulations to all our nominees. A further congratulation to our award winners. We will be celebrating you all, again in our celebration assembly. You represented your school well and showed tremendous resilience sitting amongst other GFM pupils you have never met before.
