We are delighted to inform you that Gomer Junior have been shortlisted for a TES 2017 Award. Our gSTEM journey has been a team effrot requiring commitment from governors, parents/carers and the whole of Team Gomer. Therefore, the shortlisting for this award is for the team, rather than an individual. Team Gomer are thrilled that their commitment and the children’s passion for gSTEM has been recognised. For all awards, the judges will be looking for outstanding practice over the last year. The prestigious awards ceremony takes place in June. We are looking forward to this event very much. Our leading edge curriculum was published last week by The Royal Academy of Engineering and by the TES Awards today. Now that we are an an Academy within the GFM, working closely with secondary colleagues, we have already started working on our continuum STEM curriculum which will lead into KS3 and run across schools in the GFM.
