Today, Gomer Junior launched as an Academy within the Gosport and Fareham Multi-Academy Trust (GFM). This was a historic occasion for our school community and celebrated with enthusiasm by all. The children worked in their house groups completing several activities to celebrate the day. They included cake decorating. cake box making and stone decorating. The stones (Beach School link) will be used to create a mosaic or sculpture to mark this special day. Every child was sent home with a blue balloon today too. We were delighted to be joined by students from Bay House and Lord Wilson, who helped Gomer children superbly. It was great to have former pupils join us and to see the GFM family of schools work together. The Executive of the GFM joined the children too: Mrs Mulhall, Mr Potter (Bay House) and Mr Tyreman (Lord Wilson) could not be prouder. Our final assembly of the day enabled us to reflect on the importance of ‘change’ and how ‘change’ makes us feels. Additionally, several children shared their art work from the day. Today was super end to another full and exciting term at Gomer.

Pictured is one of the pebbles painted today. A full photo gallery of our celebration today will be uploaded her soon.
