Grace in Y6 competed with her ice-skating team, The Shooting Stars from Gosport Ice Rink, in a national competition at the weekend. The competition was held at the significant Nottingham Ice Arena, used for the British Synchronised Skating Championships 2017. Her team were placed 6th out of the 13 teams who competed. The team secured a ‘personal best score’ against some very strong teams who compete regularly in larger rings.

It is important to note that Grace is competing against ladies, significantly older than her. The sport relies on significant team work and speed, in which the ladies skate ‘gracefully’ and with precision. The team were very proud of their performance and Gomer are naturally very proud of Grace for her commitment to the sport. The team will now compete in an international competition in Scotland later on in the month.
