With thanks to those of you in our community who donated an Advent Calendar for Caring Hands who operate a local food bank. Yesterday, we were very proud to present 141 chocolate Advent Calendars to Pam from Caring Hands.  This beat our target and the amount collected last year.

Caring Hands is a part of the local Family Church which has a food bank, providing food parcels to many individuals and families across our town. We collect food for their Food Bank at harvest time. Advent is a time of peace and joy. Gomer Junior thought that that it would be appropriate to provide some goodwill for those who may not receive a calendar to help with the countdown to Christmas. With thanks to our Asda Community Champion for donating 21 calendars to our collection. Again, Asda has highlighted how keen they are to work in our community.
