On Friday 14 October we had our Spooky Disco (early due to Y5 being in Stubbingotn this week). The children looked great and with thanks to your support we raised just over £300 profit for the FROGJS funds. The children and staff had great fun. Thank you to the parent helpers.  They are currently fund raising to build an outdoor mini-gym and/ore outdoor facilities.

A few considerations to help keep children safe at Halloween:

Trick or Treat With an Adult

  • Children should not be alone at night without adult supervision
  • Stick to familiar areas that are well lit and trick-or-treat in groups
  • Choose homes that your adult considers to be safe

Costumes

  • Keep Costumes Both Creative and Safe
  • Decorate costumes and bags with reflective tape or stickers and, if possible, choose light colours
  • Choose face paint and makeup whenever possible instead of masks, which can obstruct a child’s vision
  • Have children carry glow sticks or flashlights to help them see and be seen by drivers
  • When selecting a costume, make sure it is the right size to prevent trips and falls
  • Check that costumes are not flammable

If you are taking part in Halloween celebrations, have fun and stay safe.
