106 Gomer children, accessorised in homemade Norman clothes and battle artefacts, walked from Bayside Cabin to Gomer Junior today, accompanied by Roger of Montgomery. With the supporting adults we were just over 150 strong. We were delighted that our friend Basil could join us again. PCSO Burton and PC Rogers enjoyed the walk too. Roger the Norman joined us today, not only encourage us to walk to school, but help teach us about the Battle of Hastings. His account, presented to the children in two waves, was incredibly fun and very informative. 950 years on and we continue to remember how Harold was defeated in the Battle of Hastings against William the Conquerer. With thanks to the My Journey Campaign for making today possible http://myjourneyhampshire.com/
