Year 4 enjoyed our annual Christingle on Tuesday 15 December. The service, in support of The Children’s Society was led by the Rev. Andy. The choir sang with the children superbly and we were delighted to be joined by so many parents and carers. Mrs Mulhall gave a talk which was linked to the carol ‘While Shepherds Watched their Flocks’, focussing on the message of peace and safety. The children talked about what they are looking forward to this Christmas. The congregation took time to reflect on those children who may not have a great Christmas and how the money raised by the children will be of great help to the Children’s Society. Three of our children (Levan, Grace and Lilly) performed a beautiful rendition of ‘Away in a Manger’  whilst we lit our Christingles – the most special part of the service. With thanks to the children for collecting pennies for The Children Society, St. Mary’s Church for hosting and to the Co-op on Queens Parade for providing the items for our Christingles.
