Today, our school choir will be singing at the Christmas Tree Festival at 2pm. St. Mary’s Church in Alverstoke is full of Christmas trees, decorated by a range of schools and organisations within Gosport. Mrs Carre had a clear concept for our tree and organised the decoration making. Using the Christmas Truce of 1914, many of our children made poppy themed decorations outlining the values we embrace at Gomer and need within our global community to stop war. The church is open today and all weekend with an entry fee. There is a family service at 10am on Sunday.
