Unravelling truth from myth – Year 3 had an enjoyable trip to Portsmouth City Museum exploring the popular myths behind modern-day misconceptions about ancient Egypt, including themes such as ‘Did aliens build the pyramids?’ and ‘Beware the mummy’s curse’. The children participated in an ancient discovery quiz finding out about the 150 objects / artefacts within the exhibition. They also enjoyed lots of hands on activities from building their own pyramids using 3D shapes to dressing up as ancient Egyptians.
